What CoRE stands for
- Creative: mentors draw from a range of activities and therapeutic experiences for engaging a young person.
- Re-engagement: is to help a young person know who they are, how they connect to others and the world they live in.
- Education: discovering a young persons’ interests and passions to re-engage them with learning.

Outcomes
CoRE are focused on developing students’ mental wellbeing, physical, social and emotional health through personalised target setting, linked to EHCP outcomes.
Outcomes for the students are measured through information that is collated into reports for each student including;
- Engagement and learning in activities
- Trust and Relationships
- Communication
- Regulation of Behaviour
- Next steps for planning and activities
- Safeguarding issues
We have an in house THRIVE practitioner who uses the THRIVE toolkit to feed into students’ programmes, reflect on their progress and inform planning for students at CoRE.
Families and students are invited to complete a questionnaire feeding back their thoughts and views on progression at the end of each term.
Reports are produced termly, and when requested for annual EHCP reviews.
